Born and bred in Christchurch, New Zealand, Brent & Kara moved to Waiau, North Canterbury over 8 years ago where their journey began operating a successful accommodation business, serving the local and international market with a unique style that awarded them first runners up in the North Canterbury Business Awards for 2021.
The dream to bring Astronomy to North Canterbury began in Waiau although has been a passion since childhood.
With the support of Hurunui Tourism, Brent and Kara laid the foundations to share their experiences and knowledge with their guests.
Fast forward to 2023 and the dream has grown and evolved. A new location In Hanmer Springs, perfect for sharing the beauty of nature, and our night skies.
Join us as we begin our journey with our level one star platform, while progressing on to the next stage - Observatory, Guest accommodation, nature walks and more!
